The third day kicked off with the 1.25m €1,000 competition in two phases presented by Five Star Horse Auction.
The majority of the 32 contestants were Hungarian and they managed to land on the three podium places.
Emma Mécs, coached by Attila Lóránt, on Chacco-Blue by PM Chaccera took the victory.
Gréta Babos on Timpex Inka, the second to last starter, tried everything to deliver the fastest ride, but her time was good enough only for silver.
A few tenths of a second behind, András Kövy, Jnr. and Manitu 88 came third.
Lili Horváth on Ploona finished fourth, Italian Carolina Cassina on Chacco Amicor ZM fifth, and Szabó Virág Noémi on Rafiki van de Dennehoeve sixth.
Klaudia Szalai, representing Five Horse Auction, and Jean-Paul Quintin, on behalf of the jury, congratulated the riders.
Szabolcs Krucsó was the first and the last starter on his two horses in the 1.40 m competition presented by Alpexavit, but despite all his efforts he could not repeat his Friday’s win.
Out of 28 rides 14 delivered clear rounds in the €3,000 contest. The first place went to Swiss Eva Gautschi in the saddle of Oreo vom Weihergut CH, second podium was taken by Éva Debreczeni and Cortez, a duo who have already won several times at this level in the National Riding Hall.
German Michael Viehweg took third place on his gelding Casito von der Wuehr.
Fourth place went to Gábor Szabó, Jnr. and El Conthero, Szabolcs Krucsó and Chaccito finished fifth, another Swiss rider, Joana Schildknecht and Napoleon C sixth.
Petra Hajdú, representative of Alpexavit awarded the riders, while Melinda Schlezák congratulated them on behalf of the jury.
