The CSIO3*-W Longines EEF Series International Show Jumping Competition Begins on Thursday
The CSIO3*-W Longines EEF Series International Show Jumping Competition kicks off at 8 AM on Thursday with the young horses’ competition at the National Riding Hall. On Friday, the Nations Cup promises a unique thrill. Sunday’s featured event, the World Cup Grand Prix, one of the most prestigious jumping events in Hungary is definitely not to be missed.
The field is already taking shape, and based on preliminary entries, a prestigious international field will once again be coming to Budapest this year. Nearly 150 riders and around 350 horses will compete in the four-day event.
Riders from 24 countries will compete at the National Riding Hall, including Austria, Brazil, the Czech Republic, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Finland, the Netherlands, Croatia, India, Ireland, Canada, Qatar, Poland, Mexico, Germany, Italy, Palestine, Romania, Switzerland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, and Ukraine.
The field is also extremely diverse in terms of age: the youngest competitor is just 13 years old, while the most senior is 65.
Highlights of the four-day program:
- Friday, June 26, 2026, 3 PM CSIO3* Big Tour – Longines EEF Series Regional Qualifier (Central European Region), 1.5m, total prize money of €65,000
- Sunday, June 28, 2026, 3:30 PM World Cup Grand Prix, 1.55m, total prize money of €60,000
Friday’s Nations Cup also looks set to be very interesting, as 13 countries will enter teams in the competition: Austria, Brazil, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Ireland, Poland, Hungary, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Qatar, Switzerland, and Slovakia.
The members of the Hungarian national team are: Aliz Alasztics, Anna Simicska, Tamás Mráz, and Péter Szuhai. Balázs Horváth serves as a chef d’equipe.
Total prize money of the Nations Cup is €186,500.
Admission is free on all four days.
