The Szuhai Family Dominates Grand Prix

Saturday afternoon’s €30,000 Grand Prix attracted 50 riders who also competed for Longines Ranking points.

The 1.45m course with 13 obstacles including a double, a treble and a water jump combined with a tight time allowed sorted out the field.
The competition was dominated by the young generation. The first clear round was ridden by Roland Kovács, followed by Kata Csenge Kisgergely and in the first half of the competition nobody else succeeded to qualify for the jump-off. After the break, five more riders, Gyula Szuhai Jnr., Tobias Pfingstl, Péter Szuhai, Szabolcs Krucsó and Rodrigo Szuhai was able to join the rider and horse pairs in the 1.50m jump-off.

Roland Kovács set a fast time after a precise clear ride.

In the end, Gyula Szuhai Jr. on Lawisangos beat all his competitors. He is a very talented rider who proved himself at the 2024 European Youth Championships, winning the Table C competition. This time in the saddle of Lawisangos, a present from his father, he showed also at the National Riding Hall what a tremendous pace he is capable of.
