Gold for Gábor Szabó, Jnr. in The Final Round of The Big Tour Presented by Regale

A large field of 79 riders entered the 1.45 m CSIO3* Big Tour Regale Prize. On the technically demanding course—consisting of 12 jumps and 15 efforts—there were 23 clear rounds. The top places were claimed by riders from six different countries.

The fastest flawless round was ridden by Gábor Szabó, Jnr. on Ferenc Koncz’s stallion, Genius Conference. Not a single CSIO Budapest event goes by without Gábor Szabó, Jnr. securing at least one victory in a prestigious competition. In previous years, the rider has won the Grand Prix three times and was also a member of the winning Hungarian team.

Swiss rider Edouard Schmitz finished in second place on the ten-year-old Zangersheide gelding Dillen 111 Z, only two-tenths of a second slower.

Slovak Katarina Packova took third place on her mare Donnerlittchen 70.

Barna Paár, representing Regale, and Robert Fekar, on behalf of the jury, congratulated the riders. The total prize money for the event was €30,300.
