Schedule change
Due to the expected extreme heat, the CSIO Budapest Organising Committee, the Show Director, the Veterinary Committee, the Chefs d’Équipe of the participating nations, the relevant ministries, and the involved professional bodies have jointly agreed to modify Sunday’s competition schedule.
The Ministry of Defence FEI World Cup Grand Prix, held within the CSI3*-W Longines EEF Series, originally scheduled for 15:30, will now take place at 08:00 on Sunday morning.
The decision has been made primarily in support of the welfare of both horses and athletes. The Ministry of Defence Grand Prix is the highest-level competition on Sunday, featuring fences up to 155 cm, a longer and more demanding course, and a jump-off format that may require the leading combinations to complete a second round. On Sunday, this class represents the greatest physical demand for both horses and riders. The increased workload is further compounded by the fact that, in accordance with FEI regulations, riders are required to wear competition jackets in the Grand Prix.
By adjusting the schedule, we aim to provide the most favourable conditions possible for all participants, in line with international practice and FEI recommendations. In recent weeks, several major international events have also adapted their schedules in response to extreme weather conditions.
We hope that, despite the early start, many spectators will join us at the National Riding Hall and cheer on the best combinations of the weekend in the CSI3*-W Longines EEF Series Ministry of Defence FEI World Cup Grand Prix.
