The Countdown Has Begun!
Next Thursday the Count Istvan Szechenyi Memorial International Show Jumping Competition will commence at the National Riding Hall.
Two-hundred and four riders from 11 countries entered 281 horses for the event. In addition to the Hungarian riders, contestants from Austria, Bulgaria, Czechia, Finland, Croatia, Germany, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Poland and Slovakia will also be competing in the National Riding Hall.
Among the Hungarian riders, of course, the audience will welcome the best of Hungarian show jumpers, Zoltán Czékus (Hungarian Champion 2021 and 2022), Rodrigo Szuhai (the youngest Hungarian Champion), Zsófia Vándor (Hungarian Champion 2019), and other multiple Hungarian Champions Balázs Horváth, Szabolcs Krucsó and Gábor Szabó, Jnr.
Competitions will take place from Thursday, 16 May 2024, 8 AM until late Sunday afternoon. The highlight of the long weekend will be the Grand Prix on Sunday at 2:30 PM at 145 cm for a prize money of €28,200.
Admission is free on all days of the tournament.
